I'm on a mission to help you heal.
As Tricia Hersey said, these systems can’t have us. We have the power to reclaim our inner peace by healing from past trauma, understanding how oppressive systems operate, and expanding into our most authentic selves.
Allow me to help you on your journey by sharing what I have learned as a Black woman social worker with academic and lived experience analyzing oppressive systems.
About Me
I’m a Black woman social worker (pronouns: she/her) and systems disruptor. I do not believe the oppressive systems we live in can be reformed and instead must be dismantled. The question is, how do we protect ourselves from the harm they cause in the meantime?
That’s where I come in. My mission is to disrupt these systems by sharing what I know about how they operate so they no longer have the power to rob you of your inherent right to inner peace.
My hope is that you learn to shed the blame you have internalized and place it where it needs to be placed – specifically, on the people who maintain these oppressive systems in the interest of power and control.
Through completing my master’s degree in social work in May 2020, I gained academic knowledge about how systems of oppression function. But honestly, my experiences as a Black woman born and raised in a oppressive society really taught me how these systems work to steal our joy and chip away at our self-worth every. single. day.
Allow me to help you release feelings of shame and self-doubt by sharing the knowledge I have gained from my studies and life experiences. It’s time to reclaim our inner peace by healing, understanding & expanding – despite living in systems that operate to traumatize us.
